On going Research

In 2005, it was decided that Social Transformation in Borneo will be the theme and research niche area for the Faculty.  Under this rubric, several research clusters have been identified, namely,

  • Ethnicity, Identity and Belief Systems
  • Urbanisation
  • Gender
  • Political Change and Culture
  • Environment and Community Development
  • Indigenous Knowledge

Each cluster will include a few research projects which are undertaken by a group of researchers working collaboratively.  Below are on-going research projects which illustrate this approach.
